Need for Speed Shift 2EA unveiled at the upcoming match in their series Need for Speed Shift 2 Unleashed. As with the last entry in the series, Shift 2: Unleashed will focus more on simulation than arcade action. The initial need for speed: Shift is released in September 2009 and sold through nearly five million copies worldwide. Shift 2: Unleashed will be released in spring 2011.

No word yet on whether there are any Jedi concerned, but why else would EA gives it the caption of “Unleashed”?

Shift 2: Unleashed will introduce a feature called “the driver’s battle,” which EA bills as “an even more authentic and primal feeling of power and speed which elevates the fundamental competitive race into a struggle for supremacy against other drivers and even the track itself.” While it’s not entirely clear what that means, we do know that Shift 2: Unleashed will feature a first-person cockpit view.

Shift 2: Unleashed has undergone some changes to the original output, including a new graphics rendering engine with a new enormous overhaul. It also has a “helmet cam” that simulates the physical experience of driving at 200 miles per hour, racing at night, and the squalor of the tracks and cars authentic. Shift 2: Unleashed also features the next generation of Need for Speed newspaper machine, a network that connects friends for head-to-head races and compares player stats.

Video Games Experts Think Over Tax Relief

Video Games ExpertsVideo Games Experts criticized the Government’s argument for tax incentives for industry “increasingly threadbare”, while the old government official seems to contradict the official line.

George Osborne saying it was “poorly targeted “and stop plans for a video game industry tax relief in the June Budget. Yet this month Edward Troup, the managing director of budget, tax and welfare at the Treasury, told a Scottish Affairs Select Committee: “I’m not sure I would say it was poorly targeted,” adding: “It was absolutely designable if we had continued with it.”

Tiga had predicted that such a tax cut will create 3,000 jobs, but now fear that there will be a transition to jurisdictions that offer generous incentives, especially in Canada. Experts say that developers have already frozen the British national expansion, and sought instead to some other countries to open new offices.

Before the elections, the Culture Minister Ed Vaizey had undertaken to grant a tax reduction in video game industries similar to that given to the film industry.
